…at least that’s what they tell us. Area 15 is an experiential playground filled with shopping, dining, and
various entertainment. You will embark on a journey to a place that you’ve never been, and this “place”
will push the limits of logic. It is one mile west of the Las Vegas Strip on South Rancho Drive and is open
7 days a week, although hours of operation do vary. It is free to enter, but spots must be secured online
in advance. Each experience does cost money, but you can check out the venue, shop around, and get
some food without purchasing tickets. This vibrant space is bound to pull you in with its
black lights and otherworldly charm. We recommend that you carve out a few hours to explore.
While there are loads of experiences such as virtual reality encounters, axe throwing, and zip lining, we
have not had the opportunity to delve into all Area 15 has to offer. We have, however, chosen the most
appealing activities to us. Let us share our thoughts on some of Las Vegas’ most hyped events!
~ Pop-up Coffee Kiosk – This temporary stand from local coffee artisan, Makers & Finders, is filled with
its best-selling beverages and snacks. These hand-made coffee and teas will glow under the lights of this
venue. Choose from a Deconstructed CBD Latte, a Rainbow Latte, Just Peachy Tea, and much more. We
were happy to see a quick spot to grab a drink and whole wheat bagel since we arrived first thing in the
morning.
~ Meow Wolf’s Omega Mart – You literally have no idea what’s in store for you!! 😂😂😂😂 Area 15
describes this as “astonishing, unpredictable, and mind-bending,” and we can’t disagree. It is over
stimulating! You will feel like your eyes are bugging out of your head as you walk down the market aisles.
You will see comedic, creative, and crazy items that are both for display and for purchase, but that’s not
all. You will notice doors that open, and employees that lead you in weird directions, and if you follow
these various paths, you will enter different portals that lead to hidden rooms. It is what we envision an
intense acid trip to be like, but not scary! Our favorite market item was the tattoo chicken! Tickets
fluctuate in price between $49 and $55/per person.

~ Wink World: Portals into the Infinite – This experience is full of bright lights and loud sounds! Created
by Chris Wink, who is the one of the co-founders of the Blue Man Group, this exhibit will take you on a
journey through six mirrored rooms. Each room focuses on a different concept, but all commemorate
life’s infinite possibilities. This demonstration will both amaze you and stretch the limits of your thinking.
Tickets are $20/per person and well worth it!
~ Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience – As mentioned in a prior post, this let us down. The
temporary exhibit essentially brings Van Gogh’s art pieces to life. We unfortunately
did not feel that the display did what it set out to. You basically just sit in a room and some of Van
Gogh’s art slowly move across the walls. It is almost that of slow-moving Instagram boomerang.
From our perspective, nothing came to life, and the presentation was quite boring. You did not feel that you were in the illustrations, but to each his own. Although we do not recommend this, we loved everything else we’ve done
so far.
We look forward to further exploring all that Area 15 has to offer. Next on our list will likely be the
Dueling Axes and the Brainstorm exhibit. With art to see both inside and outside of this property, this is
bound to be a trippy and memorable experience.
