What can we say…we love Las Vegas! Although you’ve likely read other Vegas posts that we’ve made, we still like to make new posts about each trip. We will showcase different things that we try so no post will be the same. With that said…
We stayed at Park MGM again, as we thoroughly enjoy this hotel. We are typically out and about nonstop on the strip, so we don’t experience all of the luxuries inside the property as much as we should. This time around, we still moved around plenty, but we were able to sit back and enjoy the property more than usual…
~ Pool – The pool is a great spot to relax and recharge for the long day ahead. There are three pools on the property, and one of them is 18 and up, so NO Splashing. *Hallelujah song plays* The drinks and food are both pretty good at this resort so take advantage of the poolside service! We ordered plenty and none of it disappointed! We recommend renting a daybed to make the most out of your relaxation.
~ Haus of Gaga – For all the little monsters out there, Lady Gaga has a museum at this hotel! It’s her personal vault of wardrobe, music, and invention over the last 10 years! In addition, if you visit while she has her residency, Lady Gaga’s Makeup line, Haus Laboratories, is in store, and you can get sets that are only available here. Of course, I purchased one!
~ Eataly – This is the largest Italian marketplace in Las Vegas, and most of the country! With over a dozen eateries and tons of Italian products for sale, this place offers a feast for both your eyes and your stomach!
~ Mama Rabbit – A vibrant and fun Mezcal and Tequila bar that gives you a taste of Oaxaca, Mexico. The spot is an ode to Mexico, with it’s name deriving from Mayahuel; a mother of 400 rabbits who nourished them with Mezcal and Tequila. Our favorite part of this spot – there are a few giant animal slot machines that you can play!
~ La La Noodle – This place is casual and highly underrated!!! This Pan-Asian gem has mouthwatering noodles, pork belly, Thai iced tea, and more. We will 100% be coming back to this place. The service was also incredible so that’s a big plus as well.
~ Primrose – Another jewel located right in this hotel! A breakfast, brunch, or lunch spot that has bottomless mimosas, great breakfast combos, and delectable lattes. An adorable, casual spot to roll out of bed and come down to!
~ Juniper Cocktail Lounge – Named after Juniper berries, which is the berry that brings us all gin, this is the place where we found out I like gin! A library style lounge with the largest collection of gin in Las Vegas, along with beers, hand-crafted cocktails, and house-made juices and syrups. This place has a super relaxed vibe, and some very fun drinks!
One thing not mentioned in this post about Park MGM is Roy Choi’s Best Friend Restaurant. Unfortunately, we were unable to get a reservation this trip, but we highly recommend this to everyone. Check out our previous Las Vegas post to read more about Best Friend. This may just be our favorite restaurant on the ENTIRE strip!
As mentioned earlier, we did do plenty of exploring outside of our hotel and some of those highlights included:
~ Here Kitty Kitty Vice Den at Resorts World Resort and Casino – If you find the hidden door within the convenience store on the casino floor, you will find this speakeasy! The shelving on the door has 3 lucky cats; one black, one white, and one gold. Once inside, you will find a small lounge and have the opportunity to try incredibly unique handcrafted drinks. This is a must in our opinion!
~ Tipsy Robot at Planet Hollywood Miracle Mile Shops – This is a flat out bizarre and futuristic attraction. Order your drinks on an iPad and watch a robot mix and deliver your drinks on a conveyor belt. Another fun tip, you can create your own cocktail and even name it here.
~ Vanderpump a Paris at Paris Hotel and Casino – Lisa Vanderpump’s newest spot in Las Vegas! Designed by Lisa herself and Nick Alain, this place gives major Paris vibes with an illuminated Eiffel Tower bar backdrop, velvet benches, crystal chandeliers, wrought iron accents, and lots of flowers. VAP also features elaborate cocktails with both extravagant presentations and top shelf flavor in addition to a variety of food. As expected, her newest business did not disappoint.
~ Amystika Show at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino – This show is considered the Mindfreak Prequel. In another words, it’s Criss Angel’s story from childhood to adulthood. It includes various magicians and illusionists who recreate the tricks and visions that Criss Angel has over the many years of his career. This show was awesome, but if you are planning on seeing lots of Criss, then you may prefer the MindFreak show itself. This show will teach you a lot about the famed illusionist, but you will only see Criss perform at the very end of the show. Either way, if magic, illusion, and comedy is up your alley, Amystika is worth seeing!
~ Fremont Street Experience – They call it an experience for a reason! This place is overstimulating to say the least. Fremont Street is also known as Downtown Las Vegas, Glitter Gulch, or Old Las Vegas, but the “Experience” begins at night with the Viva Vision, Music Light Show. Each hour, a 6-8 minute show occurs with 3D interpretation of various popular songs. In between those shows, live bands perform. It’s a lot to see, and there a TON of people, so hold on tight to your belongings. It’s quite the crowd, but seeing the show is pretty neat.
~ Bellagio Conservatory Gardens – You all know this is a MUST go in our book! This might just be our favorite display yet! This time around the theme is Flights of Fancy; showcasing anything that flies!
And just like that, another Vegas trip for the books! We are hoping to head back at least a couple more times this year. The country music fans that we are want to see Miranda Lambert at Planet Hollywood and our birthdays are in July so what better please to have a drink and celebrate?! We are also itching to try Carversteak at Resorts World.
Until the next sleepless trip,
TnT
