If you want to get in the spirit of Halloween, Fall, and pumpkin spice everything then you should visit this trail. It is located in Riverside County in the city of Norco, California. You may have seen it before while driving on the freeway, as it is in view, positioned perfectly on a ridge. If you dare to make the upwards trek, the 1.7-mile path will take you to a giant boulder that looks like a Jack-O-Lantern. You will see the rock greatly resembles Jack Skellington from Tim Burton’s Nightmare Before Christmas film. The trail is family and pet friendly, and features wildflowers, wild animals occasionally, and direct sunshine! The area is open year-round so if you come during times of warmer weather, we suggest that you come early, because there is ZERO shade. One thing to be aware of – You will likely find an overwhelming amount of graffiti here, but if you can overlook that, it’s a really cool spot. Locals take the initiative to repaint the Pumpkin landmark from time to time so depending on when you come, it may or may not have markings on it. The trip will take you roughly one hour to ascend 370 feet to the top. There is plenty of free parking around the trail.
Still thinking about the hike that struck a gourd with us,
